August 17, 2026Two new fires, collectively identified as the Picture Rock Fire (#313), were reported early afternoon on Sunday, 08/16/2026, about 3 miles north of Summer Lake on the west side of Highway 31. The fire when reported was estimated at 50 to 65 acres. Currently the fire is estimated to be 1,228 acres in size, 100% lined, with 65% containment.Fire personnel are on scene with multiple engines, water tenders, dozers, and crews. Air Tankers, helicopters, lead planes and air attack aircraft are available to support fire suppression efforts from the air.The fire conditions have moderated and the crews…
