August 14, 2026 will be the final update for the Castle Fire unless there is a change in fire behavior. The Castle Fire was first reported on July 22, 2026. It is currently estimated to be 3,613 acres and 94% contained. Fire Activity: Firefighters continue to mop up and patrol for any heat sources. Rehab work, chipping, and back hauling equipment from the fireline will be conducted. The fire is being managed for full suppression.
