August 9, 2026The Grand Park 2 Fire was reported Aug. 7 and is located approximately three miles north of the Sunrise Visitor Center in Mount Rainier National Park. Local resources managed initial and extended attack until Complex Incident Management Team Northwest 13 assumed command Aug. 11 in coordination with local, state, and federal agencies.
