August 26, 2026The Mogote Ridge Fire is burning around Mogote Peak and between the villages of Canjilon and El Rito in Rio Arriba County, N.M.Fire behavior is consistent for the mixed conifer for aspen vegetation community, smoldering on the forest floor with occasional single tree or group torching.For public safety in the immediate area, the Continental Divide Trail and two Forest Service roads have been closed.
