September 22, 2026The Seven Fire in Runnels County started in the early afternoon on Tuesday, September 22, under elevated fire conditions. Texas A&M Forest Service was requested by local fire departments to provide assistance in the form of additional firefighters and heavy equipment at 12:56 pm and responded quickly. Texas A&M Forest Service is currently in unified command with local departments. Ballinger VFD reported a 50-acre wildfire in Runnels County.
