September 4, 2026The Rattlesnake Complex Fire is a combination of the Snow, Pine Creek and Ayers Pond Fires that started after a lightning storm moved through the area on September 1. All fires are under the management of The Montana DNRC County Assist Team, led by Incident Commander David Hamilton. The team assumed command at 12 p.m. on September 4, 2026 and will be demobilizing on Wednesday, September 8.The Rattlesnake Complex is 100% contained at 15,582 acres.
