Texas A&M Forest Service was requested to provide assistance to local fire departments in the form of additional firefighters and heavy equipment and responded quickly. Texas A&M Forest Service continues to operate in unified command with local fire departments.Update: 6:30 pm, Monday, September 7 - The fire's forward progression has been stopped.
