August 3, 2026This incident page is no longer being updated. The fire has been transferred back to the local Department of Natural Resource district. Hudspeth fire started on August 1, 2026 and approximately 3 miles southeast of Hunters. The northeastern part of the fire is in the Carpenter Road Fire scar. Fire officials continually assess current and anticipated fire behavior, engaging resources where needed to best meet objectives.
