August 22, 2026Crews are engaged in a full-suppression strategy, directly attacking the fire where conditions allow while maintaining public and firefighter safety as the highest priority. The fire continues to burn in steep, rocky and heavily forested terrain, where rolling debris and rocks, along with falling hazard trees, continue to challenge containment efforts.A Closure Order has been put into place to protect public safety and give firefighters room to work.
