The Bull Fire was reported shortly after 10:45 a.m. on Friday, October 2, 2026, near Bull Ranch Creek, north of Verdi and near the California-Nevada state line. The fire is currently 1,529 acres and 43% contained.The fire is being managed by Nevada Team 3, Type 3 Incident Management Team. Firefighters continue to make progress securing the fire perimeter through direct suppression, mop-up and patrol operations.
